RF over Fiber Technology
RF over Fiber (RFoF) transmits radio frequency signals over optical fiber. It converts electrical RF signals into optical signals, then converts them back at the receiver for further processing.
With lower transmission loss than copper cable, RFoF delivers high-quality CATV and L-band, C-band, and O-Band signals over long distances with minimal delay.
Advantages of RF over Fiber
High Bandwidth
Carry multiple signals over a single fiber using multiplexing.
EMI Immunity
Protect signal transmission from electromagnetic interference.
Low Signal Loss
Maintain signal quality over longer distances.
Electrical Isolation
Nonconductive fiber eliminates electrical conduction through the fiber link.
Greater Signal Security
Fiber is more difficult to tap than copper cable.
